About Caroline Coyner

I’m a photographer based in Paris, working with museums, galleries, auction houses, antique dealers, private collections and portrait clients in France and the United States.

I studied Art History and Museology at the École du Louvre and began my professional life at the Château de Versailles. After moving to the United States, I managed an antiques store before founding my photography business in 2018. That combination of art-historical training and years spent handling and presenting objects continues to shape the way I photograph.

My work has appeared in exhibition catalogues and publications for the Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, the Getty and the Art Institute of Chicago. Whether I am photographing a work of art, an interior or a person, my priorities are accuracy, thoughtful lighting and an image that makes the viewer stop and look.
